Evidence Based Practices Adoption Project Documents and Resources
AdCare Educational Institute, Inc. is currently supporting the adoption of selected evidence based practices, under contract with the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Abuse Services. Our target audience is publicly funded substance abuse and co-occurring treatment programs across the State of Massachusetts.
In State Fiscal Year 2006-2007, AdCare has supported adoption projects related to:
The NIATx Rapid Cycle of Change process, designed to improve client access and retention
MET/CBT 5, a treatment and skill building strategy for adolescents, and
Motivational Interviewing, a treatment approach for adults
This webpage provides participants in these adoption projects and other interested parties with easy access to specific tools, referenced in the training and coaching sessions, which are useful in adopting these practices. Of note, word changes to documents were made in order to be inclusive of alcohol and other drugs. Click on the title to download a copy of each of the tools you need.
MET/CBT 5:
Clinical Tools: To Be Used in the Delivery of the Practice to Individual Clients
Note: Special thanks go to the original developers of these documents Susan Sampl, PhD and Ron Kadden, PhD at the University of Connecticut Health Center, who have lead the way in enhancing and creating new, more effective treatment approaches for adolescents. AdCare staff and contractors have made small edits to the original materials for use in the Massachusetts Adoption Project.
The Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT) Manual 1: MET/CBT5 is available for download at http://www.chestnut.org/LI/Bookstore/Blurbs/Manuals/CYT/CYT-v1-MET_CBT.html
