The Presenter:
David R. Anderson, MGA is the communications director for the Center for Integrated Behavioral Health Policy at The George Washington University Medical Center. David has written numerous articles for publications such as Managed Healthcare Outlook, The Case Manager, Benefits and Compensation Digest, and National Council Magazine. In addition, David was the principal author of two crime prevention texts: Managing to Prevent Crime: a Guide for Property Managers and Bringing Victims into Community Policing. Prior to joining the University, David was the vice president of communications and marketing for Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America. David also served as deputy director of Fighting Back, an $80 million Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded program to address substance use in 14 communities throughout the United States. Before his career in public health, David was a recognized expert in community policing and crime prevention. He served as an advisor to Mayor Richard M. Daley in Chicago and led a national program to develop community-based crime prevention programs within economic development organizations. David earned a BA in international studies from Allegheny College and an MGA in government administration from Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania.
