Session Title: 1C - Prescription Drug Diversion Collaboration
Overview:
In order to effectively deal with the issue of prescription drug diversion we realize it will take policy change, public education, prescriber education, and a reduction in availability. There is no one entity that can facilitate this process, thus we must establish dialogue, communication, and partnerships between stakeholders. The pathway to solutions will ultimately come from public-private sharing of information and collaborating. Lessons learned from the Safe Medicine for Maine Coordinating Council will be shared.
